Kitchen backsplash tile installation

About this project

We installed a tile backsplash on the kitchen wall behind the range in a home in Carmichael, CA. The wall was drywall, so we spread tile adhesive on it, cut each tile to fit around the edges and corners, and set it on the wall. After the adhesive cured, we grouted the joints and cleaned the surface. The wall behind a stove takes the most splashes and heat in the kitchen, so even joints and fully filled grout lines matter as much as the tile itself.
